James O'Keefe and fellow conservative activist Cam Higby were charged by Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty with felony unlawful voting and identity theft after the pair visited multiple Minnesota polling sites during August's primary, posing as Muslim residents — using foreign accents and religious clothing — and presenting the names of registered voters without their permission. Moriarty says Minnesota law is clear: no individual shall intentionally misrepresent their identity when applying for a ballot.
