The four newly charged defendants — Henry MacKeen-Shapiro, 23, Aaron Vonbargen, 25, Joseph Fisher, 23, and Srishti Tarana Sharma, 23, of Canada — are accused of conspiring to threaten University of Michigan regents, campus police and local businesses to force divestment from Israel. Tactics included throwing glass jars of noxious chemicals through windows, placing fake bloodied corpses in a board member's garden and spray-painting anti-Israel graffiti at the home of then-president Santa Ono. MacKeen-Shapiro and Vonbargen have been arrested; Fisher and Sharma remained at large at the time of charging.
Conspirators marked victims' homes with red inverted triangles — a Hamas symbol used to designate targets for death.
Eight people charged in the first round of indictments in June have all pleaded not guilty.
