A fellow police officer warned Beau Lamarre-Condon not to "do anything stupid" after he drove to her home in a hire car and asked whether switched-off phones and hire vehicles could be tracked — questions he posed roughly three weeks before allegedly shooting dead ex-boyfriend Jesse Baird, 26, and Baird's new partner Luke Davies, 29, at a Paddington terrace in February 2024. Senior Constable Alex Scobie told the NSW Supreme Court that Lamarre-Condon reassured her he was "not doing anything illegal" before calling her again that evening to explain himself. Lamarre-Condon, 31, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of domestic violence-related murder and one count of aggravated break and enter.
Police only discovered alleged bullet holes concealed with paint, putty and $5 Kmart hooks on Baird's bedroom door two months ago — two years after the alleged killings.
Housemates texting about Baird's failure to move out — not knowing he had allegedly already been shot dead — were told to 'slap him with a fat bill'.
