Fifty peers urge Mahmood to ban Macklemore before a Wembley gig that will fund a group accused of justifying October 7

Lord Walney, the Government's former adviser on political violence, wrote the letter demanding Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood revoke the electronic travel authorisation of the rapper, real name Benjamin Haggerty. The peers argue his entry is 'not conducive to the public good'. Some takings will go to the Palestinian Youth Movement, whose spokesman called the October 7 hostage-taking 'legitimate'. The group denies links to terror.
Macklemore was dropped from Ed Sheeran's US tour after leading pro-Palestine chants in New Jersey.
He is due to play the OVO Arena, Wembley, on Friday 30 October.
The peers say a ban would deny him 'the privilege of raising funds on British soil'.
