First Minister Michelle O'Neill and Mary Lou McDonald were interviewed by police over unnotified protests that blocked the Drumcree march
Unionist parties are demanding action against O'Neill and others, accusing nationalist parties of acting unlawfully. The Garvaghy Road protests in Portadown were never notified to the Parades Commission, so they were deemed illegal. The PSNI sent letters to everyone 'reasonably suspected' of an offence. The pair attended Musgrave PSNI station in Belfast on Wednesday afternoon.
The Drumcree parade had been approved for 27 September, the first time in 28 years.
Northern Secretary Chris Bryant banned the march on 9 October after a two-week stand-off.
