Sam Wood, the 46-year-old former Bachelor star and founder of the $71m fitness brand 28 by Sam Wood, has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and strangulation in a domestic setting following an incident at a $3,000-a-night Noosa villa on Saturday night. He is expected to spend several nights in a Queensland watchhouse before his lawyer Matthew Cuskelly seeks bail at Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Thursday, where Wood intends to fight the charges. Business partners have moved quickly to cut ties, with his own company placing him on indefinite leave and meal firm Foxes Den ending its six-year relationship with 28 by Sam Wood with immediate effect.
Actress Tammin Sursok has also suspended her promotional partnership with 28 by Sam Wood, saying she has 'zero tolerance for domestic and family violence'.
A TikTok video, since deleted after resurfacing, shows Wood joking that 'even if I am strangling her to death' his wife Snezana will not reveal where she has hidden his snacks.
Stepdaughter Eve, 21, posted a sunny Noosa holiday clip filmed by Snezana just hours before Wood was arrested at around 9pm on Saturday.
