Five British 'patriots' are deported from France and ordered to pay a MIGRANT charity after their 'Battle Bus' Dunkirk trip
The five men, travelling in a reinforced minibus with a roll cage they dubbed the 'Battle Bus', were arrested Thursday in Grande-Synthe near Dunkirk carrying four tear gas bombs and live-streaming confrontations with migrants on social media. Anthony Barnes was filmed threatening a group of migrants waiting at a port, telling them: 'I'll fold you clean in half, geez. And kick you in that river.' French authorities expelled them on Sunday after a weekend in a holding centre.
The group, aged 30 to 46, were each fined £2,500 and banned from northern France for six months.
Barnes was chased off after the migrants stood up to him, with one appearing to throw a stone at him before French police moved in.
Nearly 1,000 migrants crossed the Channel in two days during the same weekend, undermining the group's mission before it had begun.
