Florida governor Ron DeSantis gifts President Trump a gold coin showing him 'flipping the bird' at would-be assassins

The custom gold challenge coin bears the engraved message 'You missed bitches'. Ron DeSantis handed it over on the airport tarmac in Fort Myers moments after President Donald Trump stepped off Air Force One on Friday. DeSantis said a friend makes the coins and that he begged for one for Trump. The gift nods to the Butler rally shooting that grazed Trump's ear in July 2024.

The pair were bitter rivals in 2024, when Trump dubbed him 'Ron DeSanctimonious'.

DeSantis has courted Trump with 'Alligator Alcatraz' and a renamed West Palm Beach airport.

Trump told the rally: 'I've never seen a midterm with this kind of action.'
