Investigators say ice was 'certainly a factor' in the Florida jet crash that killed nine, though the co-pilot called it 'manageable'

The Learjet 60 plunged 27,000 feet in under a minute on Sunday after flying into a thunderstorm cell near West Palm Beach, eight miles from Mar-a-Lago, killing all nine aboard. Co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, 20, told Miami air traffic control conditions were 'manageable' just 90 seconds before the aircraft entered a catastrophic dive exceeding 20,000 feet per minute. The crew's final transmission was 'we're out of time'; pilot Jeffrey Gregory, 55, could be heard reciting the Lord's Prayer in the cockpit.
Filgueiras had previously been chastised by air traffic control in May for understating turbulence on the same aircraft, tail number N7226D.
Among those killed were tech founder Adam Robinson, 45, his wife Helen Sharp, their toddlers Emma, four, and Charlie, two, and the children's nanny.
Robinson's viral April post about leaving the office early to be present for his family has resurfaced since the crash.
