Florida rapper who murdered his pregnant girlfriend because he 'wasn't ready to be a dad' begs to be executed

The unborn baby that Billy Adams III, 28, said he was not ready to father later turned out not to be his. Adams, known as Ace Nh, shot Alana Sims, 22, in the head beside her car in January 2023. She was five months pregnant, and her two-year-old was in the back seat. Days earlier she had planned to celebrate his acquittal in a separate double-murder case.

'I don't have an issue with the death penalty,' Adams wrote to the judge on October 12.

Jurors backed life for Sims but voted 8-4 for death over her unborn child.

The day before, he texted his other girlfriend, Lakenya Brantley: 'Tomorrow dis s*** done.'
