Footage shows murder-accused driver overtaking cars moments before he allegedly dragged a headteacher a mile to his death

Simon Richardson, 35, is on trial accused of murdering Michael Mullins, 56, a headteacher who was on his bike heading home from Stretford Grammar School on April 20. Prosecutors claim his Volvo XC90 hit 60mph in a 30mph zone with Mr Mullins trapped beneath it. The father-of-two's foot was allegedly tangled in the suspension. Prosecutors say Richardson stopped, tried to dislodge him, then 'put his foot down' and drove on.
An emergency consultant told jurors Mr Mullins survived the initial impact.
An ANPR image allegedly shows Richardson at the wheel moments later, his window fully down.
A mile-long trail of blood led to a grass verge on Wet Gate Lane, Lymm.
