Former Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby undergoes surgery after suffering her second silent miscarriage in just five months

Fiancé Jake Ankers shared a photo of Charlotte Crosby, 36, in her hospital bed and thanked fans for their 'love and support'. He called it one of the 'longest and hardest days' he had faced. Ankers admitted he felt he had 'fallen short' all week. The couple had seen their baby's heartbeat at six weeks and five days before the loss.

Crosby said the loss felt like her heart had been 'ripped' out.

Ankers said he hadn't given daughter Alba 'the birthday she truly deserved'.

The pair, parents to Alba and Pixi, had pictured life 'as a family of five'.
