Four people lost their lives across London between Friday and Sunday after a series of violent and deadly incidents spanning North Kensington, Hackney, Holloway and Wood Green. A man in his 80s died after a fire gutted his two-storey terraced house in Granville Road, Wood Green, with a woman escaping without serious injury. A motorcyclist in his 30s was pronounced dead in Holloway after a collision with a bus on Tollington Road. A 24-year-old man named locally as Kariem was killed in North Kensington after a moped pursued his e-bike in the early hours of Friday.
The Wood Green blaze, which broke out at around 10.15pm on Saturday, destroyed the entire first floor and half the roof before firefighters extinguished it by 11.30pm.
Two boys, aged 15 and 17, have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in a Uxbridge stabbing where a man in his 50s was wounded with what police believe was a machete.
The Met and London Fire Brigade are jointly investigating the Wood Green fire as police probe all four deaths across the capital's brutal weekend.
