Paul Mefful, the Citizens Advice manager who claimed his ex-lover pushed him out after she became chief executive, has won £18,315.39 (but not his job back), ending a legal battle that began in November 2012. Employment Judge T Elliott refused to reinstate him at Citizens Advice Merton and Lambeth, finding his role 'no longer exists and has not existed since August 2012'.

In 2005, Ms FP blocked his pay rise, then apologised after he threatened to go to trustees.

'I have no idea how the Trustees will dismiss him,' Stuart Davidson wrote in one email.

Already paid £53,984.61 in 2020, Mefful wanted reinstatement as 'a structured and practical route back into work'.
