Gemma Lowery hands herself in to police over video of Coventry fan taunting Sunderland supporters with Bradley Lowery's photo

Gemma Lowery has called on Coventry City to take action after a five-second clip appeared to show a young fan smirking while pointing to a photo of her late son Bradley on his mobile phone during Saturday's Premier League match. West Midlands Police confirmed the boy had surrendered voluntarily and would be spoken with, while officers said they were working closely with both clubs. Bradley, who captured the hearts of football fans across Britain, died aged six in 2017 after battling neuroblastoma.

Gemma wrote: 'To see such a beautiful memory used in such a cruel way really does make my heart hurt.'

Coventry City said it 'does not tolerate offensive behaviour' and will work with the relevant authorities to decide how to proceed.

A Sheffield Wednesday fan, Dale Houghton, lost his job and received a 12-month suspended prison sentence for a near-identical incident in 2023.
