'Get a job': New Jersey mayor asks a resident if she still lives in a basement during a council meeting

Toms River Mayor Daniel Rodrick turned on resident Dana Tormollan at an October 19 council meeting after she raised concerns about political letters she said had been bundled with residents' tax bills. Rodrick repeatedly told Tormollan to "get a job," questioned whether she still lived in her parents' basement, and eventually called her "a liar and a slob."

Tormollan fired back, calling Rodrick a "condescending prick" and slamming a document on the desk in front of him.

Council President David Ciccozzi stepped in to tell Rodrick to stop "interrupting the public" during their allocated speaking time.

Tormollan later accused Rodrick of specifically targeting older women who addressed the council, saying he was "mocking" them.
