Adolfo Gramajo, 35, allegedly shot his two young sons in the head on a Los Angeles street in broad daylight on Sunday after a custody visit that included a trip to McDonald's. Jimmy Gramajo, 4, and Osmani Gramajo, 11, were both pronounced dead in hospital. Their father turned the gun on himself but survived and is in custody, charged with murder on a $4 million bail.
Gramajo had told the boys' mother they would be at his parents' house — instead he allegedly shot them near Venice Boulevard in the Pico-Union neighbourhood.
The LA County Medical Examiner ruled Jimmy died from a 'close-range gunshot wound of the head'; Osmani also died from a gunshot to the head.
'They were innocent — always happy, never wanted to hurt anyone,' a family friend said, as loved ones placed flowers and candles at the scene.
