Girl, four, dies after falling from a tower block in Barking, east London, as police say death is not suspicious

The child fell from a block of flats on St Paul's Road, near Chand House, at around 11am on Saturday. London's Air Ambulance and an advanced paramedic practitioner joined ambulance crews at the scene. Paramedics gave her first aid before rushing her to a London major trauma centre. She later died from her injuries, and no arrests have been made.

The Met said: 'Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the child's family.'

Detectives say an investigation into how the fall happened is still ongoing.

Police are appealing for witnesses to call 101, quoting CAD 2424/24OCT.
