Girl with muscle disorder sings Ed Sheeran's 'Perfect' for Kate at the hospice where she made her first royal speech

Charlotte Freegard, 13, who has the rare genetic condition nemaline myopathy, sang at the piano while the Princess of Wales clapped and called her 'brilliant'. Kate spent nearly an hour at The Treehouse in Ipswich on Thursday. She opened the East Anglia's Children's Hospices unit in March 2012. Fourteen years on, she toured the building site of its multi-million-pound expansion in a hard hat.

Kate told Primrose Harvey, four, who has had three heart operations: 'Super brave girl.'

The expansion will add a hydrotherapy pool, a teenage space and an extra bedroom.

Kate wore Victoria Beckham head to toe, including an £850 jacket.
