Glastonbury 2027 general sale tickets sell out in 42 minutes as thousands of fans are left furious over new queue system

Hundreds of thousands of fans logged on from 9am on Sunday to buy tickets for Glastonbury 2027, only to find them gone by 9.42am. General admission tickets hit a record high of £408 — the first time in the festival's history they have breached the £400 mark. A new system requiring a unique registration code was meant to make the process fairer but left many who had queued early stuck on two bars with no ticket. A spring 2027 resale will offer a final chance for those who missed out.
Coach package tickets had already sold out in under 30 minutes on Thursday, the first round of the sale.
The new system blocked the popular 'syndicate' trick where groups of friends shared registration codes across multiple devices to boost their chances.
Headliners are yet to be announced, with Emily Eavis ruling out both Oasis and Madonna despite months of heavy speculation.
