The Fatal Attraction star said doctors found her left hip was in 'really bad shape'. In an Instagram video, Close said she is 'hobbling around on a cane for now' but hopes to fly to London on the 26th. She is due at the opening of 'The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping', then the 'All's Fair' launch in New York. She thanked her surgeon at New York's Hospital for Special Surgery.

Close was pictured with the cane at the NewFest premiere of 'La Bola Negra' this month.

She is set to receive an honorary Oscar at the Governors Awards next month.

Her promise to fans: 'Don't worry, I'm feeling great.'
