Golden Tours bus smashes into Trafalgar Square stand selling tickets for RIVAL sightseeing firms, shoving it into a 4x4

The open-top double-decker knocked over a lamppost before hitting the stall on Spring Gardens, just off the square, at around 12.30pm on Thursday. The London Ambulance Service did not attend because nobody was reported hurt, and police logged it as damage only. Two fire engines and a rescue unit from Euston, Paddington and Chelsea were sent to the scene. London key rings and tote bags lay strewn across the road.

The bus was reportedly turning left by The Admiralty pub when it struck.

Golden Tours is investigating and insists such crashes are 'extremely rare'.
