Grammy-winning FKA Twigs is to curate and headline the Southbank Centre's Meltdown festival next June, following Harry Styles

The 38-year-old singer, real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett, will become the event's 32nd curator, overseeing 11 days of shows on the London site from June 10 to 20. She says the capital raised her 'from Croydon College' to underground cabaret clubs and warehouse raves. David Bowie, Patti Smith and Yoko Ono have all held the role before her. The line-up and ticket details are still to come.

A new grassroots 'Hometown Meltdown' will run in six British cities this December.

Southbank Centre artistic director Mark Ball calls live shared experiences 'the most powerful remedy we have'.

Pianist Lang Lang and Romeo Castellucci's first London show in 16 years are also part of the 2027 season.
