Labour gives Green councillors until Sunday to disown the 'Zionism is racism' policy or risk losing power-sharing deals
Labour's National Executive Committee is to decide whether to scrap local pacts once the deadline passes. Sheffield, Warwick and Lewes, where the two parties run direct coalitions, are most exposed. Greens in Runnymede have already walked out of the ruling alliance over the ultimatum. Green groups in Lewes, Wealden and Broadland have distanced themselves from the motion.
Haringey's Green leader Mark Blake blamed the row on the 'weaponisation of antisemitism'.
Edinburgh councillors will debate formally condemning the motion on October 29.
Green leader Zack Polanski skipped the conference vote but called Zionism 'racism in the practical application'.
