Award-winning grief campaigner, 52, is found dead on the SAME Cornwall beach where her son, 18, died in 2020

Charmaine Lyn George, a 52-year-old travel agent from Islington who won the Caroline Flack Mental Health Hero Award, was found at Portreath beach's Lighthouse Hill on October 5 by a passer-by after a welfare concern was raised. Her son Ewan, 18, had been discovered beneath the same cliffs in 2020; coroners said the evidence was insufficient to determine that his death was suicide. An inquest opened in Truro on October 22 was immediately adjourned by assistant coroner Guy Davies, with the medical cause of Charmaine's death still undetermined and a full inquest expected next year.
Within a year of Ewan's death, Charmaine set up a grief café and went on to launch Good Grief Trust pop-up cafes across Cornwall.
The Good Grief Trust said she was 'passionate to help others find vital support' despite her own devastating loss.
Police said they are not treating her death as suspicious.
