Levi Davidson, 40, was shot once in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene as more than 50 people, including children, gathered for a memorial service at Old Oak Community Centre in East Acton. The service was being held to mark what would have been the 21st birthday of Malakai Ferguson-Ramson, who was fatally stabbed in West Kilburn in May. No arrests have been made, and detectives are appealing for witnesses after extensively trawling CCTV footage.
Davidson was attending a memorial for a family member when he was gunned down at the junction of Braybrook Street and Erconwald Street.
Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie urged anyone who saw people carrying weapons, cyclists acting suspiciously, or vehicles driven at speed to come forward.
