Hacktivists leak personal details of more than 40,000 US homeland security staff, including thousands of immigration agents

Hacktivist collective Distributed Denial of Secrets published personal data on more than 41,000 Department of Homeland Security employees on Wednesday, including staff working in intelligence roles. The source behind the leak called themselves the "Department of Peace" and was not identified by DDoSecrets. This marks the third major US government data disclosure in the past month.

DHS employees exposed include thousands of immigration agents the Trump administration had sought to keep anonymous.

DDoSecrets did not reveal the source, referring to the unnamed individual only as the "Department of Peace."

The breach is the third government data dump to emerge within a single month, raising fears of a sustained campaign against federal agencies.
