Halle Berry loses primary custody of her son, 13, to ex-husband Olivier Martinez after abuse claims she denies

Los Angeles judge denied Halle Berry's bid to restore the 50/50 custody split she previously shared with Olivier Martinez, ruling instead that Martinez should have full physical custody of Maceo. Berry's attorney Marina Beck said she is "extremely pleased" that a domestic violence restraining order Martinez sought against Berry was dissolved by the same judge. The two will retain joint legal custody of their son.

Martinez's lawyer declared it "exactly what he wanted from day one — to protect this child" after the nine-day hearing.

Berry is barred from overnight visits with Maceo, though her holiday custody rights remain unrestricted.

During the battle, Berry shared an Instagram post reading 'if kids disrespect their moms, the root cause often traces back to the father' — then denied posting it.
