Harry and Meghan are 'mindful' not to upstage the King's Caribbean tour but plan one appearance before year's end

Prince Harry and Meghan have told sources they are being deliberately 'mindful' not to schedule public events while King Charles begins his Caribbean tour, honouring the Palace's 'grid' system that spaces out royal appearances. The couple, who relocated to Britain in August after six years in California, are spending half-term with their children Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five. They have at least one public appearance planned before the year's end.
Last week Harry gave an on-camera interview published the same day senior royals hosted the Sultan of Oman at Windsor; a spokesman said it was filmed in September and its publication timing was not the couple's decision.
Meghan is said to be 'really cut up' over allegations that her estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr., 82, possessed child sexual abuse material — claims made by his son Thomas Junior and currently under investigation by Philippine authorities; Thomas Sr. denies the accusations.
