Harry and Meghan call off £10m house hunt and move into a property on a wealthy friend's Cotswolds estate

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have called off their £10 million search for a country house and moved into a separate property on a Cotswolds estate belonging to a close friend of the Duke — a wealthy businessman. After returning from California in August, they had been guests in the main house; the two men grew close through a shared dedication to military charities. Before settling into the new arrangement, the couple took their children — Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five — abroad during the half-term break.
Harry and Meghan are keeping their £19.5 million Montecito mansion — which has 13 bathrooms — despite the move to the UK.
A friend warned that finding a permanent home could take between 12 and 18 months, as the couple require extensive grounds and a property free of public rights of way.
Meghan is expected to move to Melbourne next year to co-host Junior MasterChef, with Harry and the children potentially joining her there.
