Harry and Meghan hate the 'lazy' 'working royals' label and object to being called 'former royals', a friend claims
A friend of the couple insists Meghan is 'running a business seven days a week' and that Harry 'is still a member of the royal family'. The claim follows their first joint engagement since returning to Britain, at a recording studio in St Ann's, Nottingham, on Thursday. The King has already ruled they should be treated as private citizens. Another friend says they will spend Christmas in Montecito, not Sandringham.
The friend summed up the couple's view of the phrase: 'He hates it, she hates it.'
The friend also says they 'never agreed' to the Sandringham ban on being 'half-in, half-out'.
Royal journalist Robert Jobson accused them of becoming 'quasi-royals by stealth'.
