Harry learned his romance with Meghan was about to be splashed by the press just hours before they headed to the Toronto Soho House party on October 29, 2016. Palace communications secretary Jason Knauf broke the news, forcing the couple to treat the apocalypse-themed night as their final taste of freedom.

Harry borrowed his Mad Max costume from actor Tom Hardy, with Eugenie in a coordinating look.

Harry wrote in his memoir: "We'd been tipped, before heading off to the Halloween Apocalypse, that another apocalypse might be coming."

The morning after the party, Harry said "everything was changed forever" when the call came confirming their relationship had gone public.
