Harry and Meghan warned to stay discreet as UK security threat level against royals is rated 'severe'

A former Met Police bodyguard to the royal family, Simon Morgan, has warned Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to keep a low profile after returning to Britain, saying the threat to the UK and its assets — including the Royal Family — is currently rated severe. Morgan, founder of special security consultancy Trojan Consultancy, said Harry faces both concrete dangers from his military past and perceived risks from his high public profile. The couple have been back in Britain just over two weeks and have already faced a string of crises, including pulling Archie and Lilibet from their new school after the country school run was deemed too hard to protect.

Morgan pointed to Harry's memoir — in which he publicly discussed killing Taliban fighters — as exposing him to 'genuine security threats'.

King Charles declared the Sussexes 'akin to private citizens' in a September 7 letter, a position sources close to Harry and Meghan are pushing back against, calling it 'not realistic'.

Meghan is reportedly struggling to switch off from her brand As Ever, telling friends her focus is 'in ten different directions' as she juggles the US time difference from the Cotswolds.
