Harry Styles debuts 'What Is Enough' for Liam Payne at Madison Square Garden on the second anniversary of his death

'I could tell you what it's like to bury friends on a Wednesday night,' Harry Styles sang, in a lyric that appears to recall Liam Payne's funeral. Styles, 32, told the New York crowd he wrote the acoustic track 'about two years ago'. 'Two years ago today, I lost one of those friends,' he said before playing. He urged fans to keep 'looking after each other'.

Liam Payne died aged 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.

Another lyric reads: 'Among the stars above, the friend in all those satellites.'

The song was part of Styles's 30-night Together, Together residency, which ends on 31 October.
