Hayden Panettiere's boyfriend Brian Hickerson pursued 'drunk' woman months before the actress died at 36

Brian Hickerson, the on-off boyfriend who was with Panettiere when she was found unresponsive at a Greenville, South Carolina Airbnb on 16 August, sent flirtatious Instagram messages to a 26-year-old woman he had encountered at nightclub Cat's Pajamas on 28 March — months before the actress's death. The woman described herself as having been very drunk that night and said she remembered little of the encounter, but Hickerson located her on Instagram the next day and wrote: 'Great meeting you last night pretty lady. I owe you a date.' She eventually stopped responding because her interest waned, and she felt uneasy about the age gap between them and her hazy memory of how they had met.
Hickerson is also under pressure from Panettiere's estranged mother, Lesley Vogel, 70, who has raised questions about his account of her daughter's final hours with law enforcement.
Vogel told NBC News the family had long been working to remove Hickerson from Panettiere's life 'for quite some time', and alleged he had pawned some of the actress's possessions before her death.
The DEA is investigating Panettiere's death; Hickerson, 37, is reportedly 'terrified' and complaining her mother is 'putting him through a trial in the media'.
