Jonathan Taylor Thomas, who allegedly kicked a Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy in the stomach during a traffic stop, was also booked on charges of public intoxication before being released.

Jonathan Taylor Thomas, 45, was spotted looking dishevelled in Los Angeles on Thursday, days after his arrest on Monday for public intoxication and obstruction in Westlake Village, California. Police say he kicked a deputy in the stomach during the confrontation and spent the night in jail. He has reportedly been struggling with deep disappointment over a Hollywood career that never reached the heights he had hoped for.

Thomas is best known for playing Randy Taylor in 'Home Improvement' alongside Tim Allen and Patricia Richardson.

He is reportedly described as 'depressed', having wanted to become a director and feeling, just weeks after turning 45, it may be too late.

He was spotted outside in a black T-shirt and jeans, with shaggy hair, and his representatives had not responded to requests for comment.
