Barbara Osmanovic, 40, came to the UK from Kosovo as a child in 2000. Of Roma heritage and addicted to heroin and cocaine, she has built up a record of 29 offences across 13 convictions. The Home Office is pursuing a fresh appeal after a tribunal blocked its earlier removal bid, with a source stating: 'We disagree with the court's decision and have appealed for permission to overturn it.'

Osmanovic stole the purse of a wheelchair-bound woman and used her bank card to make £1,640 in fraudulent transactions.

The tribunal found she had made little 'positive contribution' across 26 years, with cleaning work at Poundland and B&M ending within days.

A judge ruled deportation would be 'unduly harsh' under Article 8 of the ECHR, citing her lack of Albanian language skills.
