Homicide detectives probe 'suspicious' death of Venezuelan singer found 'tied up' in pool after body discovered at Florida home

Investigators are treating the death of celebrated composer and pianist Gus Ormo as suspicious after his body was found face down, apparently bound, in the pool at his Weston home near Fort Lauderdale on Friday morning. Drone footage captured a long blue cord running across the patio and into the water. His sister Antonieta said the family has received no further details about his death.

A 911 dispatcher stated that the man found in the pool had been 'tied up'.

Weeks earlier, Ormo had been promoting his new album 'AGAPE', described as a 'milestone in his career'.

Neighbour Bruno Gedikinan said: 'It wasn't something I expected to happen in Weston.'
