House of horrors found with nine kids allegedly placed in cages

Jonathan Parr, 37, and Jacqueline Coleman, 32, face child endangerment charges after nine children between the ages of one and 13 were discovered living in bug-infested conditions at a Licking County, Ohio trailer park, some of them housed in a shed. The Licking County Sheriff's Office launched its investigation following a tip from child protective services about alleged physical abuse spanning three years. The couple are in custody ahead of an October 23 court date.
Children were allegedly confined in cages too small even for large dogs and made to spend hours on their feet with nails pressed between their toes.
Coleman allegedly ran from the scene when officers arrived and was taken into custody during a traffic stop, while Parr told the court: 'I did not keep anyone in cages. I love my kids.'
All nine children have been removed from the property and placed in care; a grandmother also found at the home has not been charged.
