Houthi missiles kill 73 at a Yemen training camp where most recruits were aged between eight and 20

Shabwa governor Awad Ibn al-Wazir said the new recruits at the Al-Alam camp 'had not attacked anyone'. More than 200 were injured on Monday, and 14 others remain missing. Three ballistic missiles reportedly hit the recruits during a training exercise. It is the deadliest attack since fighting between the Iran-backed rebels and Saudi-backed forces reignited this summer.

Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed the camp was run by Saudi forces.

The Houthis warned other young men against joining the Saudi-led coalition.

Britain is reportedly expanding its support for Saudi Arabia with 'defensive' RAF air patrols.
