Houthis kill 17 and injure 333 at Riyadh airport as former US envoy warns rebels are now a GLOBAL threat beyond Iran's control

Yemen's Houthi rebels killed 17 people and injured 333 others in missile and drone strikes on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh between October 7 and 11, according to the Saudi-led coalition. The airport has been hit 20 times since October 1 alone, with the October 10 attack involving a combined salvo of drones, missiles and other projectiles — ten in total. Former US special envoy for Yemen Tim Lenderking warned the group now poses a "clear and very present danger" on the international stage, increasingly operating independently of Tehran.
Lenderking noted that Saudi officials sounded the alarm more than a decade ago about the Houthis emerging as a serious threat — a warning he considers to have been fully vindicated.
