Hundreds march through Gosport against a migrant removal centre as the Government plans 470 MORE beds there

Around 500 demonstrators marched from the Haslar Immigration Removal Centre to Gosport High Street on Sunday, chanting 'secure our borders' and 'deport the lot'. Haslar has been shuttered since 2015 and is due to reopen next year to house detained men. A face-covering ban and a dispersal order were both in force until 8pm. Hampshire Police said no arrests were made.
Nearly 500 planning objections have been submitted, most of them opposing the Haslar expansion.
The march followed the arrival of 149 migrants by small boat near Portsmouth on 4 October.
Marcher Mark Ayrton said: 'We have had enough, there is no room.'
