Nine men are on trial at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court accused of sexually abusing a Stockport woman whose husband drugged and raped her for over 20 years while secretly filming her. Prosecutor Louise Oakley KC told the jury the husband's Samsung phone contained over one million photographs and videos cataloguing the abuse, stored in a hidden folder labelled 'visits'. The husband, who cannot be named to protect his wife's anonymity, has already pleaded guilty to multiple offences including rape and administering drugs.
The defendants, aged 28 to 70, include a senior paramedic, a retired DJ, a youth football coach and a dog walker — all deny the charges.
Robert Stewart, 70, messaged the husband hours after visiting: 'Delete all images… remember what happened to the guy in France' — a reference to Dominique Pelicot.
Three other men have already admitted to abusing the woman at earlier hearings, with a fourth pleading guilty only last week.
