Husband who drugged his wife invited two men in one night and asked one for an online REVIEW, court hears
Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester, where nine men are on trial accused of raping a Stockport woman whose husband filmed more than one million photographs and videos of the abuse over two decades.
The Stockport husband, who cannot be named, has admitted more than 60 offences against his wife over more than 20 years, drugging her with crushed tablets and inviting strangers to abuse her as she lay unconscious. Prosecutor Louise Oakley KC told Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court the abuse escalated by February 2025 to men arriving "one after the other" in the early hours.
Robert Stewart, 70, was the husband's blueprint for future offending after they met on Craigslist in 2015 and discussed date rape drugs.
One online contact, Daniel Rayner, 42, of Whitstable, told the husband: 'Passed out ones are obviously better' and 'Hope she's being used tonight.'
The woman's ordeal only ended after journalists infiltrated an online messaging forum in October 2024 and alerted police.
