Trent Alexander-Arnold delivered a 'decisive' display on his England return, providing the assist for Anthony Gordon's opener as the Three Lions beat 10-man Czechia 2-0 in Prague. Thomas Tuchel praised Alexander-Arnold after the Real Madrid full-back's superb cross set up Gordon's header — his third goal in three international games. Harry Kane then fired England's second in the 69th minute to put the result beyond doubt.
Pavel Sulc's first-half red card, awarded after a VAR review of a clumsy challenge on Elliot Anderson, turned the game and allowed England to dominate.
Ian Wright singled out Lewis Hall as another player who 'proved his worth', saying the full-back was 'very unlucky' to miss the World Cup squad over the summer.
Tuchel has also tipped Jude Bellingham for a major England honour following talks revealed after the victory in Prague.
