'I can finally kill someone and it's perfect': Norwegian teen hitman hired by Iran-backed gang jailed for 20 years for UK murder plot

Johannes Kongsnes Natland, 19, was sentenced to 20 years at Woolwich Crown Court following his conviction for conspiracy to murder. Acting for the Iranian-backed Foxtrot Network, he had agreed to shoot an unnamed British target for £21,500. Police raided his Huddersfield hotel room hours before the planned attack, recovering two guns and 12 live bullets.

Natland bragged to his girlfriend and took selfies with the weapons and cash — the judge said the plot 'thrilled his immature personality.'

The Foxtrot Network, sanctioned by both the UK and US, has built a reputation for drawing in children as young as 13 and pioneering what Europol calls 'violence-as-a-service.'
