'I have no regrets': Singer is removed from Tosca in Canada after waving a Palestinian flag at opening-night curtain call

Bass-baritone Gabriel Sanchez-Ortega unfurled the flag on Friday and posted the video on Instagram. Calgary Opera called it 'unexpected and unauthorized' and says personal protest is banned on its stages. Another artist took the role of Angelotti on Sunday and will sing it at the final show on 24 October. Sanchez-Ortega claims the company faced 'financial threats'.
