'I know you're an abuser': Meghan told father Thomas Markle in a final letter he will never see his grandchildren

The letter reached Thomas Markle Sr, 82, in his hospital bed in Cebu, in the Philippines, last December, shortly after his leg was amputated. Philippine interior minister Jonvic Remulla says 'all signs point to a possible sex offender of the grossest kind', with forensic results due within a week. Markle denies possessing abuse images but admits paying for sex. He calls the claims 'sick lies'.

The Met passed abuse claims to Meghan in 2019 but told no other police force.

Scotland Yard is now reviewing its handling and may refer itself to the watchdog.

Markle calls it 'a set-up' and asks: 'Why is Meghan dumping on me?'
