'I love the meat': Trump mimes eating barbecue at Texas rally while claiming Democrat James Talarico is secretly vegan

President Donald Trump, 80, made his third trip to Texas in a month on Tuesday, holding back-to-back rallies in Corpus Christi and Lubbock to boost Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton, who is trailing or tied with Democrat James Talarico in most polls with midterms just one week away. Trump claimed Talarico's recent flu absence was because meat had made him sick, miming chewing and producing bizarre groaning sounds to mock his rival. Talarico, who is not vegan, hit back: 'I've been eating barbecue since before Ken Paxton's first indictment.'
Trump also told the Lubbock crowd he had been 'studying' Republican Senator Jon Husted's anatomy, describing his fingers as 'like sausages.'
At the same rallies, Trump declared that Talarico believes Jesus 'would be promoting sex changes for little children' — Talarico, a seminary student, had previously said Jesus 'would tell us blessed are the trans children who were bullied.'
Paxton compounded his night by telling the Corpus Christi crowd America had celebrated its '200th anniversary' on July 4 — it was in fact its 250th.
