Wayne Sleep, 78, former ballet dancer and I'm A Celebrity star, has been undergoing treatment for a new cancer — his second diagnosis, following prostate cancer 11 years ago.

Wayne Sleep, 78 — former Royal Ballet principal dancer and 'I'm A Celebrity' veteran — has disclosed he has been receiving cancer treatment since the summer, saying the treatment 'appears to be working' and he is 'on the mend' under the care of staff at the Royal Marsden Hospital. He posted a photograph from Kew Gardens taken on Friday alongside the announcement, signing off with 'Much love, Wayne x'.

Sleep did not specify the type of cancer or his treatment plan, saying only that he is 'in good spirits and feeling positive about the future'.

The diagnosis comes 11 years after he was treated for prostate cancer, a condition he said at the time shook him 'to the core'.

Sleep is now an ambassador for Prostate Cancer UK and has also starred in Celebrity Big Brother and Celebrity Masterchef during his TV career.
